This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply project management skills and knowledge in a variety of contexts, across a number of industry sectors. The job roles that relate to this qualification may include Project Manager and Project Team Leader.
Individuals in these roles have project leadership and management roles and are responsible for achieving project objectives. They possess a sound theoretical knowledge base and use a range of specialised, technical and managerial competencies to initiate, plan, execute and evaluate their own work and/or the work of others

Have completed one of the following qualifications: BSB50820 Diploma of
Project Management; or BSB51415 Diploma of Project Management (or a
superseded equivalent version).

Entry Requirements:
International Students
- Be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- Undertake a pre-enrolment interview / initial skill assessment.
- Have completed one of the following qualifications: BSB50820 Diploma of
Project Management; or BSB51415 Diploma of Project Management (or a
superseded equivalent version), or Have completed two years equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience at a significant level within a project or program environment within an enterprise. - Must have completed Australian Year 12 or equivalent level of schooling or a Certificate IV or higher qualification with an Australian institution.
- Meet evidentiary requirements for country of origin
- Must demonstrate English level of IELTS 6.0 with no band less than 5.5 or equivalent, such as:
- IELTS 6.0 or equivalent
- LLN and Digital Assessment
- AIS Pre-course Interview
Domestic Students
- be a minimum of 18 years of age;
- have completed Year 12 or equivalent; and
- successfully completed the AIS pre-course Interview
- Have completed one of the following qualifications: BSB50820 Diploma of
Project Management; or BSB51415 Diploma of Project Management (or asuperseded equivalent version). Students will need to successfully complete all units in this course to receive certificate of BSB60720 – Advanced Diploma of Program Management.
Learners who partially complete the qualification will receive a Statement of Attainment for the units they are deemed competent.
Assessment will occur through a variety of methods, including projects incorporating role-plays, case studies, observations, and short answer questions.
AIS does not guarantee any career opportunities. However, successfully completing this training provides the knowledge and skills required for students to gain employment in the following role/s:
- Senior Project contract manager
- Senior Project leader/team leader
- Portfolio manager (industry specific)
RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING RPL/ CREDIT TRANSFER
AIS recognises qualifications issued by other RTOs. AIS will accept and mutually recognise the qualifications and Statements of Attainment awarded by any other registered training organisation unless precluded by licensing requirements. We can also grant you Credit Transfer for subjects or units you have completed where equivalence can be established between the unit in your course, and the subject or unit you have completed.
After successfully completing the Diploma of Project Management, students may apply for Advanced Diploma of Program Management.
